Derek has contributed to many celebrated records including GloRilla & Megan Thee Stallion’s single 'Wanna Be,' Karol G’s single '+57,' and Yandel & Feid’s album 'MANIFESTING 20-05,' He continues to play a major role in hip-hop, R&B, alternative, and Latin music, showcasing his versatility across a range of genres. 

In 2022, Derek joined Record Plant Recording Studios in Hollywood, grinding through every opportunity and rising to work in high-profile sessions. He played an integral part in shaping projects for some of the biggest names in music, including Megan Thee Stallion’s album 'MEGAN,' which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Rap Albums chart; The Stylistics’ album 'Falling In Love With My Girl'; and Blxst & Feid’s 'Rewind,' which earned an RIAA Latin Platinum certification.

Furthermore, he has had the opportunity to work with renowned artists including Busta Rhymes, J Balvin, Lil Yachty, Don Toliver, Wiz Khalifa, Brody Brown, Young Nudy, Shaboozey, Central Cee, T-Shyne, Trippie Redd, and The Chainsmokers, building a reputation not only as a great engineer but also as a valued collaborator and problem solver.

Beyond major label work, Derek is passionate about collaborating with independent and developing artists, working closely to shape their sound and translate ideas into finished records. His dedication to empowering talent is reflected in projects like Lily Rayne’s 'SIRENS' — an album he mixed, mastered, and executive produced, which was ultimately released in partnership with Sony Music/Human Re-Sources.
